Thanksgiving

Well the last few weeks have been busy!! Ben is rolling over like crazy. He is waving now. If you wave, he'll do a little Ben wave back. He talks like crazy. He's getting so big. There will be lots to talk about in the next few weeks with his first Christmas. Speaking of which, cards are on the way. Here are some pics from Thanksgiving. You can tell Mommy was busy cooking, so Daddy dressed him.

Hello! Well since last time, Ben has been busy. He's getting so big. A few weeks ago, he rolled over from back to belly. He only did it once though. Then tonight, he rolled over from belly to back twice. Daddy was playing on the floor with him and he did it two times in a row. Then he decided he had enough and screamed. But that's a step up. So we'll keep going at it and maybe he'll do it consistently. I know, we are begging him to get going now. Then once he does, we'll be complaining that he's crawling and getting into everything.

His teeth are also getting close. I've been thinking for awhile that they are because he's been having teething symptoms for months now. But his two top teeth are getting so close. I can see them dropping. He's been drooling like crazy and chomping down.

Ben has tried all of the veggies and fruits. He likes to eat! So we are going to stick with these foods and keep eating them until his next peds apt. Then we'll see what they say to try next. He is a little piggy!

We made our Christmas cards. But you have to wait until you get them to see. So here is a sneak peak with a pic that we didn't use.

Ben loves to eat. Peaches. Yummy.

Our next update will be after Thanksgiving. We are having it at our house. Wish me luck with cooking. I hope I do well!

We're in our new house!!!

Here is our new house. We are getting settle in. So far we have painted one room, but that took 3 days. So we are taking a break from painting. Everything is unpacked. The house just isn't very homey yet because we are waiting to hang pictures until we paint. So it will be a work in progress, but it will look great when we are done and be well worth it.

As for Ben goes. Since last time, he has eaten green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, and pears. He's done well with all of it. The only thing he hasn't like one bit is the peas. But I don't blame him. We'll try it again later. I don't have pics of the other foods because we were so busy getting packed and moving. I know, completely not like me. Benny also had his first Halloween. He didn't dress up because we were moving that day. He did wear a My First Halloween shirt though. And I didn't get a pic of that. What a bummer. I guess missing a few memories is ok, I won't let it happen again. I promise. :) Other than that, not much is new with us. Here's a pic of Ben sporting his new winter hat. Until next time...

Mmmmm....... Veggies

Not too sure about the peas
Squash isn't that bad.

We tried a few different veggies. We did squash for 4 days and he liked that. Ben chowed that right up. Then we tried peas and he really disliked those the first time. He's getting better with them though. So we'll keep on these for a few days and then try something new. This baby food smells. For someone who didn't like peas growing up, the baby food really doesn't smell any better. As long as Ben eats it, that's what matters!

Other than trying new foods, not much is new in Benland. Ben will be spending the first night in his new house this week. He's very excited about that. :) Til next time...

It's fall time!!

Not much has changed since the last update. Ben still dislikes tummy time with a passion. Therefore the rolling over progress is going nowhere. He'll get there eventually. He had his 4 month check up yesterday. He got those darn shots. :( Ben is a strong boy though. The new stats are: 14 lbs, 14 oz, 24 1/2 inches long. So he's obviously growing well. We have been trying cereal for about a month. It's been going well, he likes it. The Dr. said when we want, we can start introducing veggies. So of course I went shopping yesterday and got some. They were on sale so I was excited! Now I have them in the cupboard for when we choose that new adventure. Here are some pics from our adventure to Yates Cider Mill! Take care everyone.

A Slideshow

Here is some of what you have missed.

Our first post...

Hello everyone!! I know people are always asking how Ben is doing.   It's hard for our friends and family who live far away from us.  I try to keep my Myspace updated with pictures of Benny, but not everyone has that.  So I thought this would be a good way for people to see pictures and read stories of all the neat stuff Ben does as he grows.  Of course the real thing is better, so people are more than welcome to come visit him whenever you are in the area.

Benjamin is already over 3 months old!! Time flies.  We now know what people mean when they say treasure every moment.  A few days ago, I packed all of his clothes that are too small.  It was kind of sad.  Our little boy is getting so big already.  But I know that each stage of his life will have fun aspects.

Ben started sleeping through the night at about 6 weeks old.  That is much appreciated!  He has bath time and goes to bed at 8:00 every night.  He recently has been sleeping 12 hours a night! He's been smiling and laughing for awhile.  We love that.  Now he's more interactive.  He is very close to rolling over.  This morning, he was on his side then he got frustrated.

Ben has a slight obsession.  Those who know Russ will think this is fitting of his offspring.  FOOTBALL!!! Ben loves it.  If he's crying or fussy and all of his needs have been met, we turn on football.  Once his eyes connect with the tv, he stops crying and is happy.  Until commercials that is.  I don't know what we are going to do when January comes around.

I will add a few recent pictures and maybe a slideshow of his life so far.  Of course everything he does is just amazing to us.  So be sure to check back often!!
